Auntie Renee's House

Today, Auntie Renee invited us to the house for dinner... Went there about 6:30pm.. Shannon was quite grouchy at first, but was enjoying herself after a nap... Usually she always gave my friends an unfriendly face, but Auntie Renee said that she was smiling away and playing around with her.

After awhile, we played her favourite VCD and she was "singing" away with her hands smashing on the piano... Auntie Renee captured the precious moment as I was holding her... I get Auntie Clarice to hold her while I tried to take some pictures and videos for her but she was no longer so excited... What a waste... hope Uncle Bryan will remember to burn me the copy of the VCD ^_^

Hoho... Now she started to enjoy her bathtime... but still dislike ppl washing her hair... Look at the happy face.... She love to use her legs to kick the water... splashing all over the place... From tomorrow onwards, I will have to move her to the bathroom...

BBQ @ East Coast

We had organized a BBQ tonight. Ja initiated it because I missed his marinated chicken wing..." so sweet right... ^_^ He marinated the food last night. So he went out to buy Tiong Bahru "fish ball" for the kids and purchased drinks and beers. We reached East Coast about 5pm.... Koh Family and Pang Family are already there. The men start the fire and the women starts chatting away. I bought 2 packets of mosquitoes patch to prevent "intrusion"... so went around distributing to the toddlers and stick around the area.

Shannon woke up grouchy from her nap... no matter how the other Aunties cheers her, she just ignored. I tried to feed her cereal at about 7pm. I used to feed her in her walker, so this time she was supposed to sit on her stroller but she refused. Everyone was busy chatting, and of course I would get ja to help... I asked him to carry her while I do the feeding but he went to fix the portable highchair for her... And as much as I guessed! Shannon's patience ran out and refused to take a single mouth of cereal. I was quite pissed off and we had some argument. I need his initiative; I do not want to tell him what he should do every time. I told him I wanted to feed Shannon, so I thought he should be around helping. If I can handle her, I would have told him to continue his chat with his friends...

Anyway, Shannon fell asleep and I quickly take some food before she wakes up again. At about 8:30pm, she woke up and I tried to give her cereal again and same thing happen! She don't want to take any cereal, so out of no choice, get back to the car and gave her BM, but at least this time, ja was helping me... The weather tonight is so warm!!! No wind at all... we have to carry the portable fan around...

At about 10pm, we slowly packed up and went home... Thanks for those who help!!!

Hope the next BBQ is a better one...

Today, we went to visit Shannon's grandfather... He bought her a toy.... a toy dog which knows how to move infront and backward barking.... Shannon loves it very much... If she is in the walker, she will chased the dog but when the dog moved in front, she would reversed her walker. When she is on the floor, she would grabbed the dog and pushed it away from her but tried very hard to reach for it when the toy dog moves away..

Okay Okay... I know... I am sort of crazy... taking so many photos.. but I just don't want to miss out any milestones of Shannon. If you refer back, most of our picture were self took... no choice lah... no one is free to take photos for both of us...

Merry Go Round...

Went to Causeway point in the afternoon with Auntie Jo and her hubby... Saw a Merry-Go-Round, so we put her on the horse... Initially she was okay... but she realised that there was one malay boy watching her and she began to make noise...... "sigh" Shannon is so unfriendly...

Shannon is enjoying herself in the walker by sliding around the house... She only started to slide this 2 days... maybe started to understand that she can choose to go anywhere with the walker...

Feeding = Testing my Patience

Got to have tons of patience when feeding her... Sometimes, I wonder is her mouth glued up??? She just doesn’t open her mouth when we are feeding her... She will only open her mouth when water is given to her... I have tried those bottled baby food but she hates it... I wondered whether she doesn’t like the food or she is a small eater or she is not ready for solid food yet????
